Just returned from two blissful days at Black Rock House, and I can’t stop raving about it! Vincent, the host, has a flair for hospitality that truly makes you feel at home. The Victorian charm of the house, combined with modern luxury, is a dreamy retreat for anyone seeking an escape. Our room was a sanctuary, complete with a king-size bed dressed in the finest Egyptian linen — heaven after a day of exploration! Breakfast was delightful, with a spread of fresh fruit, croissants, and the most divine scrambled eggs, consumed with the warm company of fellow travelers. It’s a perfect base not just for relaxing, but also for venturing into charming nearby towns like Rye and Battle, which are steeped in history and beauty. What I loved the most was the communal vibe; sitting on the sunny terrace sharing travel tales with other guests felt like dining with friends. Black Rock House is more than just a place to stay; it’s an experience that combines comfort with a touch of adventure. I'll definitely be back!
